Suicide Squeeze Records is proud to announce the debut release from Seattle's PAST LIVES. Comprised of former members from THE BLOOD BROTHERS, Jordan Blilie, Morgan Henderson and Mark Gajadhar, along with Devin Welch, former guitar player of SHOPLIFTING, the band is excited to unleash their debut EP, "Strange Symmetry."

More than two years after Thursday first put the idea in their heads, Temporary Residence Ltd. is proud to finally bring together two influential bands from two very different places. Sprung from a conversation with die-hard Envy fan and all-around good dude Geoff Rickly from Thursday, this split was just waiting for the right time to happen.

Recorded in Spring 2008, both bands turn in some of their most inspired work yet. In addition, Thursday invited Anthony Molina of Mercury Rev to remix the dark instrumental “In Silence” into the pitch-black closing track, “Appeared And Was Gone,” providing the perfect transition into the massive dynamics of Envy. Beginning with the subtle electronics of the symphonic opener, “An Umbrella Fallen Into Fiction,” Envy thrashes and burns through a trio of thoughtful face-melters.

Pressed on audiophile-quality 180 gram vinyl and featuring original artwork by acclaimed poster artist, Dan Grzeca, this deluxe set includes a free copy of the CD format beautifully incorporated into the exquisite package design.

Clutch and Weathermaker Ready "Full Fathom Five" DVD+CD!

Clutch & Weathermaker Team Up w/ MVD * New CD/DVD in stores Nov. 11th * Band To Appear on Hard Rock Hell Festival, Saw V Soundtrack, US Dates w/ Russian Circles and More!



For the past 8 weeks, Clutch's first ever DVD "Full Fathom Five, Video Field Recordings," and accompanying CD have been available at the band's legendary live shows, through Merch.com and in about 150 select US, Canadian and UK independent retail outlets chosen by the band's owned and self distributed Weathermaker Music label. This will increase ten-fold, as Weathermaker has teamed up with the MVD Entertainment Group to expand the reach of the "Full Fathom Five" project.

On November 11th, the acclaimed live Clutch DVD and accompanying "Full Fathom Five-Audio Field Recordings" CD will be available in over 1500 new retail outlets such as FYE, Best Buy, Coconuts, Fry's, Hastings and Barnes & Noble.

"This is a fantastic progression for us after only three months as an active label." states Weathermaker Music Label Manager Jon Nardachone. "Originally, our intention was to handle all CD and DVD sales directly through Weathermaker, but having the MVD Distribution team on board for the "Full Fathom Five" project ensures many ecstatic Clutch fans this holiday season."

In other Clutch related news, some of the incredible footage from the "Full Fathom Five" DVD will be featured on Comcast Cable's On Demand "Concert TV" channel starting December 15th, along with classic rock icons Led Zeppelin, Judas Priest, Black Crowes, Deep Purple, Santana, U2 & Motorhead.

Clutch's live concert footage was produced and directed by Agent Ogden (Primus, Jon Comer, Music With Altitude) in Pittsburgh, Sayerville, Denver and Sydney Austrailia on the band's 2007/2008 "From Beale Street to Oblivion" world tour. The track "Power Player" from that release, as well as "Full Fathom Five," is featured on the Saw V Motion Picture Soundtrack released last week.

* Clutch will end 2008 the same way they began it, on the road. The band is confirmed along with Thin Lizzy, Black Label Society and Hawkwind to play the Hard Rock Hell Festival on December 6th in North Wales. Upon returning home, they will headline a short run with Viking Skull and Russian Circles as support.

That Metric/Tokyo Police Club/Dears/Sebastien Grainger tour not enough Canada for you? Try Clues, a new band formed by ex-Arcade Fire man Brendan Reed and ex-Unicorn Alden Penner, along with a few of their Montreal pals.

Clues have been simmering in their hometown for a minute, playing here and there and starting a music-hocking website, but they are ready to make their full-length debut with an album scheduled to come out via Constellation Records in April. No word on a title or tracklist yet, but you can sample a tune called "Perfect Fit" in MP3 form below.

Clues also have a short East Coast tour kicking off in New York City on election night. Excellent timing, ya Canadians!

The Kaiju Commissioner has announced a growing KAIJU threat has emerged on the West Coast, and to combat this will be staging two KAIJU BIG BATTELS to tamp down monster aggression.

KAIJU BIG BATTEL invades San Francisco FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER at the Grand Ballroom, Wednesday, November 19th. This engagement is immediately followed by KAIJU'S TRIUMPHANT RETURN to Los Angeles, November 20th at the Mayan Theater!

To aid in the monster crushing destruction, special musical guest and seminal emcee BUSDRIVER and DJ team ROCTAPUSSY will also perform!

About Kaiju Big Battel
Kaiju Big Battel is a modern conflict of epic proportions. Planet Earth is under threat: scattered throughout the galaxy is a monstrous mob of maniacal villains, menacing alien beasts, and giant, city-crushing monsters that are waging war against one another. Presiding over this mayhem is the Kaiju Commissioner, an enigmatic human-arbiter appointed by a clandestine cadre of world leaders to regulate Kaiju rage. If the Kaiju Commissioner doesn’t do his job perfectly the entire world could get caught in the crossfire.

Currently, the Kaiju Universe maintains an active roster of approximately 50 monsters, including a factory-worker-turned-soup-can called Kung-Fu Chicken Noodle, a dirty hare-sage dubbed Dusto Bunny, a loser sea beast known as Call-Me-Kevin, and a despicable, square-headed mad scientist known as Dr. Cube. In addition to the Kaiju Commissioner, a few privileged humans also get a piece of the action, including Referee Jingi, a mustachioed official who enforces fairness and civility in the ring, Davio Salbino, an urban renewal expert who reconstructs crumbled cityscapes between Battels, and one tuxedo-wearing, mouth-running MC, Louden Noxious.
