Lil Daggers: "Slave Exchange"

Here come Lil Daggers, groping every passerby and staring at dogs until they pee. Well, maybe they aren't the swaggering soldiers I imagined at first listen, but the Miami-based outfit's psychedlic nuggets do give off that brashness originally patented by The Doors. "Slave Exchange," a cut from the band's forthcoming LP, moves like spilled honey, building a languid landscape of sludgy bass, slack vocals, and creeping organ. -- Ryan Ellis, Weekly Tape Deck
