EYEBALL RECORDS Announces "Eyeball Awareness Volume 1"

Announces Eyeball Awareness Vol. 1 - A Benefit for "To Write Love on Her Arms" out October 16th
A non-profit movement which aims to present hope and find help for young people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide.

While it is true that Eyeball Records invented Music, the distribution of CD samplers was, in all actuality, not their idea. Regardless, Eyeball Records now hopes to foster change and charity in the community with the release of a new four volume CD sampler series entitled Eyeball Awareness. Each of these four samplers are dedicated to raising awareness of serious issues effecting our community as well as outlining how fans can get involved to help make a difference. Eyeball is also creating companion pages on the recently overhauled www.EyeballRecords.com, giving fans access to even more information, artist interviews, and the ability to donate directly to the featured charities.

In conjunction with the samplers series, Eyeball has asked community minded artists to submit their work for consideration as cover art. The four selected submissions will be the featured cover art and go out to thousands of music fans with their name and information listed in conjunction with the featured charity.

"The idea of our sampler series is to raise awareness for a different cause every season. It seemed appropriate that for the fall edition of the sampler, we should look first at the people around us and take an interest in their well being. To Write Love On Her Arms delivers a beautiful and selfless message of caring for the people within your reach and we're thrilled to provide this sampler as another vehicle for the delivery of that message."

- Marc Debiak
GM of Eyeball Records

"We are honored to partner with Eyeball Records on this sampler. They care about these issues, and about presenting hope, so we're certainly excited to be on board. And music has played a huge part in our story and growth over the last year and a half. It means a lot to us, and to our audience - the way a song can convey truth, and offer hope."

- Jamie Tworkowski
Founder, To Write Love on Her Arms.

The Eyeball Awareness Vol. 1 compilation will be unveiled for the first time at this year's CMJ Marathon in New York, with 6,000 copies being given to attendees, and another couple thousand handed out over the course of the week. CD's will also be included in every purchase from the Eyeball Records Store with a portion of all proceeds going to the charity from Eyeball Records. In addition, Eyeball Awareness Vol. 1 will be the first chance fans will get to hear the new single, "In Your Stead" from (Eyeball recording artist) Baumer's upcoming Spring 2008 release. If you'd like to make a donation, please visit the TWLOHA website linked below, and look out for the compilation to be available through iTunes in the coming weeks!
