Suicide Note Announce New Album * US Tour w/ Lords!

Announces New Album, Empty Rooms, out August 5th on Hawthorne Street Records * US Tour w/ Lords!

A rollicking, pissed-off disc brimming with dark atmospheres and all manner of weird angles. Tempo and mood changes shred the metallic-hardcore rule-book, while Gagovski's crashing drums and Jason Golday's layers of detailed guitar work reveal the band's gift for artistry. – Alternative Press

Imagine Converge's middleground moments being fused with The Jesus Lizard - Aversiononline.com

Suicide Note's creative spirit and general sound remind me of both the last decade of Louisville hardcore and the Fugazi-era DC bands. To me, these scenes have both always been about setting out to create something powerful while successfully avoiding the musical narrow-mindedness inherent in hardcore. - Lambgoat

There's no doubting that Suicide Note have planted a flag, choosing to eschew every current trend in the hardcore underground. It's records like these that are called genius years later." - Exclaim Magazine

Accomplished post-metal, experimental rock monsters, SUICIDE NOTE, are back w/ their first album in four years, the follow-up to 2004's "Too Sick To Dance(Forever Fucked)." Entitled "Empty Rooms," the band's new behemoth is set for release this August on drummer Jason Gagovski's own Hawthorne Street Records (The Life and Times, Breather Resist, Pelican).

Drawing influences and experimental footnotes from legends such as Drive Like Jehu, The VSS, Sonic Youth, and Fugazi, SUICIDE NOTE's discordant yet brutal sonic assault that is Empty Rooms was produced by Kurt Ballou (who also makes special appearances throughout the album as second axe-wielder and guest bass-guitarist). Tracked at "Gagovcity" (a mobile studio set up by Ballou at drummer Gagovski's house outside of Chicago, at which Young Widows also tracked some of their new record), and mixed at Godcity in Salem,MA, Empty Rooms marks the fourth recording the band has done with Ballou dating back to 2000 (for the band's debut "Come On Save Me").

SUICIDE NOTE's history dates back almost ten years, with epic releases on the likes of Ferret, Magic Bullet, One Day Saviour and more, and has seen the band hit the road with some of the scene's most important and influential heavyweights such as Pelican, ISIS, Mastodon, Young Widows, Breather Resist, Racebannon, Orchid, Cabel, 5ive, DRI, Converge, and Cave-In, and has appeared at festivals such as the New England Metal Fest, Hell Fest, Gainesville Fest, Dude Fest and more.
